Once there was a little elf
Who thought quite highly of himself
And walked about with puffed up haughtiness,
Filled with pride and confidence
And blinded by self importance
He really was the image of hubris.
So blinded by his own conceit
Was he that on wet concrete
He took a walk convinced he was immune
To simple things like chemistry
Or the law of gravity
And found himself neck deep and quite marooned!
