Aspine
Once when in the thick jungles
Of somewhere hot and tropical
I stumbled on an aspine creature who
Was in fact a talking snake
Who said to me, "Yum human steak!"
And tried to add me to its lunch menu!
This happens to me every time
I meet something that is aspine
What is it about me that so appeals?
Why not eat instead a rat
Or a juicy ginger cat?
Or something other than me for its meal?
