Q Words

Q

Qua

If you want a word that has
The same meaning as the word "as"
But in the context of "virtue of being"

Then substitute the "as" with "qua"
To sound much smarter than you are
As in "cats qua cats have difficulty skiing.

 Quadrant

Imagine now a really nice
Juicy and delicious slice
Of pie made by your favourite dear old aunt

The slice of course being one of four
Equal slices and no more
A quarter or in other words a quadrant!

QUASI- (Prefix)

If "kind of" was a thing that you
Into a word wished to imbue
There is a certain prefix you should try,

To say "sort of" or probably
"almost" or "apparently"
The word to use is the prefix QUASI.

Quintessence

In medieval times
The philosophic minds
Taught about a thing they called quintessence
They were adamant
That this higher element
Permeated nature with its presence

But from those days of old
Its meaning has evolved
To mean the best example of a thing
Like something that incorporates
All of the essential traits
Of the thing that it is representing.
