Adjourn
I was on trial in the Court
For being a rather naughty sort
Of chap who had acted illegally,
The Jury though could not decide
If the last witness had not lied
Whilst testifying against the likes of me...
And so the day nearing its end
The Judge decided to suspend
Proceedings saying, "This Court is now adjourned"
Meaning my trial took a break
And was moved to another date
Before my fate and verdict could be learned.
